This modded Nissan Frontier Pro-4X is Overland Expo’s ‘Ultimate Build’ for 2026.
It features a bed-mounted pop-up camper, additional lighting, and NISMO rock sliders.
The truck has Bilstein shocks, Hankook Dynapro AT2 all-terrain tires, and an electronic locking rear differential.

For the last five years, Overland Expo has created an "Ultimate Build" to flex its off-road muscle. Previous builds include a Lexus LX600, a Toyota 4Runner, and a GMC Sierra 2500 ATX4. This year, Overland Expo teamed up with Nissan for a rugged Frontier Pro-4X.

The 2026 Frontier features Nismo rock sliders, a heavy-duty winch system, auxiliary lighting, and a Tune Outdoor M1L bed-mounted pop-up camper. The Pro-4X trim comes with a raised suspension thanks to Bilstein shocks, 17-inch satin gray alloy wheels wrapped in Hankook Dynapro AT2 all-terrain tires, and an electronic rear differential.

Under the hood is Nissan’s naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6 engine paired with the nine-speed automatic. The powertrain produces 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet of torque. Anthony Sicola, the expo’s Ultimate Vehicle Build project manager, said:

'The Frontier PRO-4X is one of the most honest overland platforms on the market. It doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not—and that’s exactly why it works so well.'
