Arden AJ23 RS: The latest evolution of the Jaguar V8
More power, more looks, more driving pleasure: the last combustion-powered Jag has been significantly refined once again
Oh Jaguar... Since the announcement of the new brand orientation, fans still have tears in their eyes. Discreet, powerful and classy was yesterday. Fully electric, diverse and brightly coloured - this is what the future of the British big cat looks like. Tuner Arden now shows us once again what we had and takes the last combustion-powered Jaguar to the extreme.
The Jaguar F-Type P575 with its 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine marks the end of an era at Jaguar. With the AJ23 RS, Arden brings the history of the classic combustion engine to an impressive close.
The German tuner increases the power output from 575 PS to 635 PS and raises the maximum torque to 760 Nm. A version with 703 PS and 873 Nm is available for use on the racetrack. These increases are achieved by modifying the supercharger drive and fine-tuning the engine management. A flap exhaust system ensures a characteristic, powerful sound that adequately showcases the last V8 engine from the English company.
However, Arden not only optimises the engine performance, but also the handling of the F-Type. Specially developed KW coilover springs lower the vehicle's centre of gravity and are designed to significantly improve the handling characteristics. This setup offers precise control and a dynamic driving experience both on the road and on the racetrack. The package is complemented by a powerful steel brake system, which represents an economical alternative to expensive ceramic brakes without sacrificing performance.
The AJ23 RS has also been visually upgraded. A carbon bodywork package not only improves the aerodynamics, but also emphasises the dynamic character of the vehicle. Front attachments, side skirts, a rear diffuser and an active rear spoiler contribute to the optimised airflow and give the vehicle a striking appearance. Exclusive 21-inch rims with mixed tyres reduce the rotating mass and blend harmoniously into the overall appearance.
In the interior, Arden favours sporty elegance. A custom-made sports steering wheel and an aluminium pedal set underline the technical focus of the AJ23 RS. Optional leather and carbon applications can be added to further individualise the interior.
The AJ23 RS from Arden is certainly a worthy conclusion to the "old" Jaguar tradition. Understated and classy, yet snappy and fast - simply British. That was Jaguar. It remains to be seen how the English will inspire their fans in the future.
