There are some cars so rare and so precious that even the wealthiest enthusiasts struggle to obtain and drive them. One of them is certainly the Bugatti Centodieci, the French hypercar that celebrates the historic EB110, of which only ten were ever produced.

Today, one of these very wealthy collectors has decided to sell one of the ten examples at auction, and another fan of the 'dream hypercar' genre is ready to buy it, but according to RM Sotheby's estimate, they will have to pay between £8.5 and £12.5 million.

437 km before 2022

A closer look at this spectacular Bugatti Centodieci reveals that it was delivered to its first owner in September 2022 and has covered just 437 km (272 miles) since then. The four-year warranty offered by Bugatti is therefore valid until September 2026.

The chassis number of this Centodieci tells us that this is the sixth example produced, ordered by a Swiss collector in 2019 and painted in two shades Quartz White and Grey Carbon. The interior, upholstered in Beluga Black leather with Gris Rafale stitching, is also finished in black and anodised white.

No less than €18 million could be spent with VAT

As mentioned, RM Sotheby's auction house is offering this car at its Paris auction on 4 and 5 February 2025, with an estimate of £8.5-£12.5 million. As this is a new car under European rules (less than 6,000 km), the buyer will also have to pay VAT.

So if an Italian buyer, for example, were to win, he could end up paying more than €18 million (approx. £15 million). Unless there are several competing collectors and the price far exceeds the auction estimate.

1,600 PS and 2.4 seconds from 0 to 100

What do you think?

As a reminder, the Bugatti Centodieci is largely derived from the Chiron, but with a more powerful 8.0 W16 engine producing 1,600 PS and 1,600 Nm, a weight reduction of 20 kg and special aerodynamics inspired by the Bugatti EB110 SS that enable it to reach 236 mph and accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.4 seconds.
