Ford has announced plans to offer a unique 2012 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca at the 40th annual Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Built to raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, the car features an exclusive Grabber Blue exterior with gloss black accents and Citic Dicastal wheels. Inside, there's Recaro seats and a Grabber Blue X-brace.

Like the standard model, power is provided by a 5.0-liter V8 engine with 440 hp (328 kW / 446 PS) and 380 lb-ft (515 Nm) of torque. It is connected to a six-speed manual transmission which sends power to the rear wheels through a Torsen limited-slip differential.

According to Steve Davis, president of Barrett-Jackson, "Since this Boss Mustang will have a very low production number and be specially built for our 40th anniversary event, the new owner will have a special piece of performance history for their collection. It's a rare opportunity to support charity while taking home a very desirable modern collectible car."
