VW launches new ID.3, ID.4, and ID.5 trims in the UK
Good news: prices are down
Volkswagen has supercharged its ID. electric range in the United Kingdom with fresh trims, revamped features, and a new entry-level battery. All the new offerings are now available for orders.
Starting with the ID.3 hatchback, already one of the favourites in the electric car crowd, it is getting two new trims: Pure Essential and Pure Match. Both feature a new 52 kWh battery and a 170 PS electric motor for a respectable range of 240 miles. Need to juice up quickly? These models can slurp up power from 10 per cent to 80 per cent in just 25 minutes. That’s barely enough time to sip a latte, let alone finish a sandwich, but bear in mind we are talking about the smaller battery pack here.

The Pure Match takes things up a notch with swankier features: 18-inch East Derry alloy wheels, metallic paint, and a comfort package boasting heated front seats and dual-zone air conditioning. It even throws in a rear-view camera and tinted windows for good measure. Prices for the new ID.3 trims? £30,850 for the minimalist Pure Essential and £32,210 for the cushier Pure Match.
The ID.4 Pure Match, the version with the smaller battery pack, gets a snazzy wheel upgrade – 19-inch Hamar alloys – and a price cut of £3,090, now starting at £39,550. That’s a solid win for families seeking eco-friendly road trips. The ID.5, Volkswagen’s sleek coupe-SUV hybrid, joins the 52 kWh battery party with its own Pure Match trim. It flaunts a range of 222 miles and a similar features list, with pricing starting at £41,050.

If speed and luxury are your thing, the new GTX Edition trims for the ID.4 and ID.5 are your dream rides. Packing 340 PS of power, these models can rocket from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.4 seconds. Top speed? A respectable 112 mph. But that’s not all. These GTX Editions bundle premium extras like an Assistance Pack Plus (area-view cameras, IQ. Drive Travel Assist, and more) and sporty interiors featuring power-adjustable seats with massage functions. Usually, this would cost an extra £6,500, but Volkswagen has kept prices attractive: £52,205 for the ID.4 GTX Edition and £53,705 for the ID.5 GTX Edition.
