Tesla's Cybercab is coming to the UK
The robotaxi is going on a European tour and will be exhibited in select cities. Here's where to see it.
The Tesla Cybercab will tour Europe, including the UK. Same as the Tesla Cybertruck, on sale for the moment only in the United States, it will be possible to have a close encounter with this particular two-seater vehicle without steering wheel or pedals, which can be accessed via the Tesla app.
Musk's goal is to have the Cybercab on the roads, including in Europe, before 2027, offering short or even full-day journeys, with an operating cost of about USD 0.20 (approx. £0.16) per mile. The Cybercab will also be available for purchase, for a price to be announced, which is expected to be less than USD 30,000 (around £25,000).
"European citizens are invited to visit selected Tesla Stores until the end of the year to discover Cybercab and learn more about the future of autonomy," writes the American manufacturer. Here's where to see it.
Where to see the Cybercab in Europe
The Cybercab will be on display at select Tesla Stores in France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway. From the end of November until 8 December, Tesla Cybercab will be on display in London, Berlin and Paris.
From mid-December, it will be on display in Amsterdam, Stockholm and Oslo, until 31 December. More information on events, dates and registration is available at Tesla Cybercab in Europe.
What it looks like
Tesla unveiled the Cybercab at the We, Robot event held in Los Angeles on 10 October, where it also showed the Robovan and Optimus. It is a fully autonomous robotaxi that aims to offer 'a premium and personalised electric mobility experience for everyone'. It has a very aerodynamic body, with two large doors that rise upwards, and there is a large central monitor on board.
Charging will be by induction and, as shown in the video shown during the event, it will be able to go to dedicated stations to be cleaned and sanitised after each ride.
