2017 Cadillac CTS-V | Why Buy?
A luxury sedan with a Corvette Z06 heart is one fun package.
– Detroit, Michigan
Floaty cars for retirees? That cliche hasn’t been true of Cadillacs for years. In fact, the first CTS-V showed us years ago Cadillac knew how to build a serious sports car. Now there’s a new CTS-V, and as before, it has serious firepower under its tightly tailored suit.
The regular Cadillac CTS sedan is already seriously satisfying to drive, but the V treatment adds a 640-horsepower engine, carbon-fiber aerodynamic parts, Brembo brakes, and a serious suspension upgrade. It’s the sort of makeover that turns an executive cruiser into a racetrack bruiser. But for its six-figure price, the CTS-V also needs to prove it can still bring the style, luxury, and equipment expected of an expensive luxury sedan. Find out how Cadillac’s latest supercharged beast stacks up as we put it through our Why Buy? treatment.
