2016 Ford Focus RS | Why Buy?
The newest Fast Ford may also be the very best to wear the Blue Oval right now.
– Detroit, Michigan
The Ford Focus RS is the answer to quite a few different car-guy prayers. It’s the first example of a desirable, former Euro-only line that we can buy in the U.S. It’s a spiritual successor to the now-defunct Mitsubishi Evolution, with appropriate insanity. And it’s a worthy entry to the competitive set that includes the very good Subaru WRX STI and Volkswagen Golf R.
And, well, it’s another hot hatch; let’s face it fellow nerds, we love these things.
Because of its functional form factor, there’s at least a chance that the RS could be a decent, livable daily driver for those with the inclination to do so. A perfect, if slightly limited edition, subject for this week’s Why Buy? video, then. Join us as we take a look at the practical side of Ford’s hottest-ever hatch, and decide for ourselves if it is worth the not-inconsiderable asking price.
