Vauxhall Movano Hydrogen start from £66,450 in the UK
Order books will open in spring 2025.
Vauxhall is gearing up to give your eco-friendly conscience a guilt-free ride with its hydrogen-powered workhorse, the Movano Hydrogen. Unveiled with a mix of futuristic flair and practical pizzazz, this zero-emissions van promises to (try to) revolutionise the world of long-distance cargo transport, despite the fact there are currently fewer than 20 hydrogen stations in the United Kingdom.
Launching in Spring 2025 in the UK, the Movano Hydrogen comes with a range of up to 311 miles on a single fill-up (that’s WLTP-certified). Starting at a wallet-cringing £66,450 OTR, this hydrogen hero isn’t cheap, but it’s efficient and fast. Refuelling takes less than five minutes.

Under the bonnet, the Movano Hydrogen packs an electric motor churning out 150 PS of power and a beefy 410 Nm of torque. It’s powered by a Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) fuel cell, supported by four high-pressure hydrogen tanks storing 7 kg of the good stuff at a whopping 700 bar. The cherry on top? An 11 kWh lithium-ion battery that recycles braking energy just like your average EV does.
Inside, the Movano Hydrogen’s Prime specification is all about comfort and tech-savvy charm. Expect a 10.0-inch touchscreen with TomTom navigation, seamless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and more USB ports than you’ll know what to do with. A 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster keeps drivers in the loop with key data like speed, fuel levels, and, others.

This isn’t Vauxhall’s first foray into hydrogen. The company has been toying with the tech for over 20 years, and the Vivaro Hydrogen has already hit UK roads for customer trials. The Movano Hydrogen builds on that legacy, delivering a larger, more capable platform for businesses aiming to greenify their operations. As long as they have a hydrogen station nearby.
