Sunlight presents new van series for 2024

Fresh vans with functional, compact layouts, ideal for camping and outdoor adventures in nature

The Allgäu-based motorhome manufacturer Sunlight is presenting its revised VAN series for the 2024 season. The compact semi-integrated models impress with their narrow external dimensions, well thought-out space concept and attractive entry-level price.

The Sunlight van series offers three different layouts with different sleeping options. The V60 is 5.95 metres long and has a transverse bed for two people. The V66 is 6.65 metres long and has two single beds. The longest model is the V69 with a length of 6.86 metres and a 1.40 metre wide queen-size bed. All models are 2.14 metres wide, making them an interesting alternative to converted panel vans. The wheelbase of 3.80 metres makes the vehicles very manoeuvrable.

The basic version of the van series runs on a Citroën chassis. The V60 is available for as little as 52,999 euros. The V66 and V69 models are available from 55,999 euros. The models are also available as an Adventure Edition. This is based on a Fiat Ducato chassis and offers more design options and an extended range of equipment for just under 3,000 euros extra. These include, for example, the Adventure foiling, a window in the bonnet, a second exterior storage compartment flap, a Thule sun visor, a triple bike rack, a living area door with fly screen and much more.

Equipment and design

The design of the Sunlight vans is simple and functional. The interior is characterised by the "Sandbar" living area, which is designed in a minimalist wood finish and dispenses with superfluous panelling or decorations. The understated design creates a pleasant living atmosphere that invites you to cosy up, especially in the colder months, and promises relaxing evenings in the van. The interior is designed to make optimum use of the available space. This means plenty of storage space and a compact but comfortable living and sleeping solution for longer journeys.

Despite the compact exterior dimensions, the vans offer a generous feeling of space and plenty of storage space. The vehicles have a large rear storage area in which camping furniture, sports equipment and other gear for multi-day trips can be stored. The bathroom is equipped with a folding washbasin wall in all layouts. This allows the room to be used flexibly as a bath or shower. The kitchen now has a 3-burner hob with electric ignition.

The exterior has also been customised. The rear light carrier now looks more modern. The exterior panelling has been reduced and the red decorative elements and Sunlight lettering on the side walls have been removed.

Sunlight and Co.

The Sunlight V-series is closely related to the vans in the Carado V-series and the models in the Etrusco V-series. All three brands belong to the Erwin Hymer Group and utilise common platforms and technologies. In addition to the basic version, Sunlight also offers special models. The "XX Edition", for example, has better equipment and a special design package. Another model with a similar design that impressed us in the test is the Sunlight T 670 S. The semi-integrated model in the Adventure Edition was with us on our first trip to Norway last year.

The Sunlight van series offers a practical vehicle concept that is reduced to the essentials and is attractive for both first-time campers and outdoor enthusiasts. Thanks to their compactness and manoeuvrability, the vans are also suitable for narrow roads and remote natural areas that are difficult to reach with larger motorhomes.

The combination of robust basic equipment, minimalist design and flexible interior concept enables a wide range of applications for active travellers. The Sunlight V Series vans combine functionality and simplicity into an attractive overall package that is suitable for both short trips and longer journeys.
