The BMW M4 GTS special edition has reached sold out status in less than two months after its world premiere.

BMW will make only 700 units of the hardcore M4 Coupe and all of them have already been spoken for, despite a starting price of €142,600 (in Germany). That’s almost double than a regular M4 in its domestic market and anxious buyers can pay more for the optional Clubsport Package containing a fire extinguisher, six-point harness, and an Acid Orange roll bar.

We know that 300 units are reserved for the US market, 30 for UK, and only 4 cars are heading to The Netherlands. Customers are able to choose from the following exterior paint schemes: Mineral Grey, Sapphire Black, Frozen Dark Grey, and Alpine White. BMW is being more generous this time with the color palette as the M3 Coupe GTS (E92) came only in Fire Orange.

The main highlight of the car is the upgraded 6-cylinder, 3.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine benefitting from water injection technology. It now churns 500 PS (368 kW) and 600 Nm (442 lb-ft) of torque channeled to the rear wheels exclusively via a 7-speed M DCT. Thanks to this hardware arrangement and a 62-kg weight loss, the M4 GTS will hit 62 mph (0-100 km/h) from a standstill in 3.8 seconds before topping out at 190 mph (305 km/h).
