BMW Already Has A Deal On The New i3. But It's Not Cheap

The 2027 BMW i3 50 xDrive gets 4.99% financing for up to 72 months, but limited incentives make it a costly proposition.

The BMW i3 is barely on sale in the US, but the German automaker is already putting a number on the 2027 model's first finance offer. Granted, it's not a splashy 0-percent rate, but it's likely enough to get some people interested in the brand's newest EV.

The deal covers the i3 50 xDrive, the only version confirmed for launch, and runs through November 2. Buyers face a single advertised APR and a modest loyalty discount for existing owners, while there's no broader cash rebate (yet), a notable gap compared with BMW's own outgoing EV sedan.

4.99% Over 60 Months

The reported offer gives buyers 4.99 percent APR over 60 months, according to CarsDirect. The same rate shows up for 72-month terms in BMW's own payment estimator. BMW says the current terms end on November 2.

Sure, those numbers may seem a bit steep compared to the rest of BMW's lineup. The outgoing 2026 BMW i4 sedan has a 3.99 percent finance rate with bonus cash that can reach $4,750 on some purchase deals. Separate lease credits run up to $3,750, a level of support the new i3 does not match at launch.

Run the numbers on a six-year loan, though, at the i3's roughly $61,500 starting MSRP, and the total cost before taxes and fees comes out in the low $70,000s at typical non-promotional APRs. A lower rate plus upfront bonus cash on a comparable EV can trim several thousand dollars from that long-term bill.

The 2027 Tesla Model 3 Performance currently lists a base price in the low $50,000 range before destination and options, undercutting the i3's sticker even without assuming a special low-rate Tesla finance program.

2027 BMW i3 Incentives And Rebate Details

There is no general cash rebate on the i3 at launch, unlike the i4's mix of APR support and bonus money. The one discount available is more limited: a $500 loyalty credit for buyers who already have a BMW Financial Services account or owned a BMW in the past 12 months, no trade-in required.

That leaves most new-to-brand shoppers financing at full rate with nothing to offset it. CarsDirect points out that models like the 2027 i5 can pair $3,750 in lease cash with $2,000 in loyalty money through November 2.

Leasing shows the same pattern. CarsDirect's early analysis pegs i3 lease payments in the mid $700s per month for well-qualified lessees, roughly 40 percent higher than comparable i4 leases in the low $500s. That spread reflects weaker support on the i3. It also reflects that the 2026 i4 starts in the mid $50,000s while the 2027 i3 sits higher.

Production of the Neue Klasse i3 ramps up at BMW's Munich plant in the second half of 2026 and into 2027, but the company has not committed to a firm United States delivery month. Buyers weighing the BMW i3 M60 or the xDrive trim still have time before on-sale timing and any updated finance offers settle into place at dealerships.
