Jean-Philippe Dayraut will be returning this year to Pikes Peak where he will be driving a specially prepared MINI Countryman.
In 2012 he drove a Dacia Duster and this year he'll be combing back with basically the same car but this time will be wearing the Countryman's skin. Some improvements have been brought to the vehicle for the Colorado race as it has managed to shave off more than 176 lbs (79 kg).
In addition, the output of the engine has been increased from 850 bhp (634 kW) to 900 bhp (671 kW) which should make it a worthy adversary for Sébastien Loeb's Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak.
The hill climb will take place on June 30th.
