Minnesota Woman Buys a Honda Pilot. Then She Drives It in the Snow: 'I Was Lowkey Panicking'
"A GMC truck in front of us slid on the road."
A Minnesota woman proposes a Honda Pilot commercial that references local and national political events. Here’s what she said and the meaning behind it.
TikTok creator Janae (@ohheyyjanae1) posted a video with her message on Jan. 15. In the video, she is driving a Honda Pilot in snowy conditions.
The on-screen text reads: "If Honda ever needs to make a Pilot commercial proving how strong they are and how they handle ice-y conditions they can use me driving one with the slogan ‘Built so strong even at 3mpg they cause internal bleeding.'"
In the caption, she wrote, "I accelerate quicker, though, so I dunno."
Viewers React to the Minnesota Woman’s Honda Pilot Testimonial
In the comments section, some viewers accepted the video at face value and shared their own stories about Honda vehicles holding up well under extreme winter weather.
"Oh, man, we drive a 2025 Honda Odyssey," wrote one person. "It’s a 2-wheel drive and we ended up in a heavily snowed area. The roads had turned icy due to Mother Nature wanting to play the hot-cold game. I was lowkey panicking because a GMC truck in front of us slid on the road, but the Odyssey handled the icy roads like a champ."
"Here in a few weeks there will be a CR-V braving the ‘only travel if necessary’ state of emergency roads thumping to hard his windows shake with a zero-sugar Monster in his hand and questionable tires on his way to work," said a second person.
A third person said, "Same! I went from a CR-V to a Kia Telluride and have never felt so unsafe in a Wisconsin winter. So we traded that in for a Pilot and couldn’t be happier."
Motor1 contacted Janae via TikTok comment and direct message for comment. We also contacted Honda via press email for comment. This story will be updated if either party responds.
