Ford Maverick Street Truck Gets 300 HP With the Mustang's Turbo
It's heading to SEMA before going on sale in 2026.
Ford revived the street truck formula a little over a year ago with the launch of the Maverick Lobo. For this year’s SEMA, the Blue Oval is taking things a step further by equipping its smallest pickup with a host of Ford Performance Parts. Compatible with the AWD XL, XLT, and Lariat models, these upgrades aren’t just for show: a production version is set to follow next year.
The Maverick 300T was developed around the 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine. The original turbocharger has been swapped out for the larger unit from the Mustang’s 2.3-liter EcoBoost. Ford also adds a Mishimoto intercooler and ProCal 4 tuning, boosting output by 50 horsepower and 40 pound-feet of torque. The result is an estimated 300 hp and 317 lb-ft.
This turbo upgrade is 50-state legal and comes with a three-year Ford Performance Parts warranty, provided a Ford dealer or an ASE-certified technician performs the hardware changes. The package, however, goes well beyond the turbo.
The Maverick 300T borrows its stabilizer bar, bushings, lowering kit, and dampers from the Lobo. Also from the parts bin, those flashy 20-inch bronze wheels come from the Mach-E GT. Elsewhere, it further stands out with an Air Design front spoiler, fender vents, and a Borla sport exhaust with black chrome tips.
Naturally, there’s no shortage of Ford Performance branding inside and out, complemented by 300T body decals on the hood and doors. The bronze accents even extend to the Maverick lettering on the tailgate. While the SEMA build rides on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, Ford recommends Pirelli P Zero Elect rubber instead. Street-oriented springs lower the front and rear by 10 mm and 30 mm, respectively.
Although officially labeled a project vehicle, a similar version of the Maverick 300T kit will be available for purchase next year. Meanwhile, Ford will have the amped-up sports truck at SEMA in Las Vegas until Friday, November 7.
