The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Is Almost Here (Update)
The second high-performance EV from Hyundai debuts in July.
Update: Hyundai has dropped more teasers of the Ioniq 6 N ahead of its debut next month at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
When Hyundai took the wraps off the Ioniq 6 facelift at the beginning of the month, it also previewed the hot N version. This week's new teaser shared on Instagram confirms we’ll finally see the electric sports sedan in July. The Koreans call it a “true high-performance electrified streamliner,” while sharing a shadowy teaser that gives us a glimpse of the car’s more aggressive rear end.
Compared to the regular 2026 Ioniq 6, the N gets a large rear wing and a trapezoidal third brake light mounted at the top of the rear glass. On the standard electric sedan, the extra brake light is a horizontal strip at the base of the glass. Before the refresh, it was embedded in the spoiler, but Hyundai has deleted the bulky piece, giving the rear a smoother look.
Hyundai waited until the Ioniq 6’s facelift to launch the flagship N version, so split headlights are part of the package, like it or not. The front design should be even more aggressive than the N Line model (pictured below) that debuted with the update. Expect new forged wheels, a lower ride height, a wider stance, and other hardware upgrades similar to what the Ioniq 5 went through to earn its N badge.
There’s no reason why the Ioniq 6 N should be any less powerful than its crossover sibling. It’s expected to pack at least 641 horsepower and 545 pound-feet of torque, enough for a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in the low three-second range. The Ioniq 5 N does it in 3.4 seconds, but the sedan might be a tad quicker thanks to its lower curb weight than the Ioniq 5 N’s 4,861 pounds.

With Hyundai prioritizing performance over efficiency, the range will likely take a hit compared to a standard Ioniq 6. However, the sedan’s slipperier shape and lower height should make it more aerodynamic than the Ioniq 5 N, which only manages 221 miles on a charge. That’s assuming the Ioniq 6 N also gets the 84-kWh battery pack.
As for pricing, expect it to be slightly below the Ioniq 5 N’s $66,200 base price. Since the standard Ioniq 6 trims are typically $3,000 to $5,000 cheaper than their crossover equivalents, the Ioniq 6 N could start around $65,000 or perhaps a bit less.
