The Morgan Motor Company has been hand-building sports cars since 1909 and is one of the world's foremost coachbuilders. Pioneering its unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology, every Morgan is hand-built to order.

Morgan's historic headquarters are located on Pickersleigh Road in Malvern Link, Worcestershire. This is the only place in the world where Morgan vehicles are built. The historic red brick buildings are home to one of the most unique car manufacturing facilities in the world.

Morgan sports cars are handcrafted from three core elements: Ash, aluminium and leather. Each car is completely unique, built to the highest standards by passionate craftsmen. Their skills are passed down through generations and perfected over a lifetime, combining tradition, innovation and cutting-edge technology. Morgan's model range includes the Super 3, Plus Four and Plus Six models.

Now, ahead of the launch of its new six-cylinder flagship, Morgan Motor Company has released exclusive photos showing a camouflaged prototype undergoing advanced road testing. The yet-to-be-named model, which is due to be officially unveiled in the spring, will be built on a new platform called CXV (possibly referring to the Roman numeral 115), an evolution of the company's aluminium chassis.

The new CXV platform is lighter and stiffer and comes in conjunction with a BMW six-cylinder turbo engine. It is said to offer a range of new technical features and improvements that should contribute to greater dynamics and driving pleasure.

While the images don't show the final design of the production car, the new flagship will be instantly recognisable as a Morgan, while boasting a more contemporary look and aerodynamic proportions.

What do you think?

The new flagship comes after the announcement in November 2024 that production of the Plus Six will cease. A limited run of Plus Six Pinnacle models will mark the last examples of the now sold-out model.

While the new model is not a direct replacement for the Plus Six, it will take its place at the top of Morgan's model range. Further information on the new flagship model, including the launch date, will be announced in due course.
