Vauxhall debuts sporty GS trim for Vivaro vans with diesel and electric power

It's like that amped-up Astra you saw the other day but just more versatile.

Vauxhall has rolled out а snazzy new GS trim for the popular Vivaro and Vivaro Electric vans in the United Kingdom. Promising sharper looks and a spruced-up interior, the GS is all about blending business utility with a healthy dose of flair.

Let’s start with the obvious: the Vivaro GS doesn’t look like your typical workhorse. This trim ups the game with a front lip spoiler, sleek side skirts complete with integrated front mudguards, and a piano black rear spoiler. Add a redesigned rear bumper and exclusive 18-inch Y-spoke alloy wheels fitted with high-load Nankang tyres, and you’ve got a van that looks ready for a night out after a long day of deliveries. Oh, and don’t forget the unique GS badge, just in case anyone doubted its pedigree.

Inside, the GS trim trades in the basic van vibes for something far more refined. The seats? They’re hand-crafted eco-leather, finished with bold red stitching, perforations for ventilation, and embossed with the GS logo. But it’s not just about looks. These seats are tough enough to handle the daily grind, offering tear resistance, moisture control, and colourfastness, making them as practical as they are stylish.

What do you think?

Just like the regular Vivaro, the GS trim comes in two configurations, the classic Panel Van or the family-friendly Doublecab, and offers both diesel and electric powertrains. The electric version, with its 75 kWh battery, boasts a range of up to 209 miles. Plus, it’s equipped with 100 kW rapid charging, which means you can juice up from 5 per cent to 80 per cent in just 45 minutes.

Prefer diesel? The 2.0-litre Turbo D engine comes in two flavours: a 145 PS option paired with a six-speed manual or a punchier 180 PS version with an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Vivaro GS also offers a choice of two premium paint jobs – Quartz Silver and Mercury Grey – because even vans deserve to look sharp in their Sunday best.
