Microlino Spider debuts without roof and with a more luxurious interior
The roofless version of the small two-seater city car makes its debut at the 2025 Brussels Motor Show. The new configurator is also included
Summer 2025 is still a long way off, but one brand has decided to present a new convertible in the early days of the year. At the Brussels Motor Show 2025, Micro, the brand dedicated to micro-mobility and producer of the much-loved Microlino, lifted the veil on the Spider version, i.e. the one with a roofless body and a reinforced roll bar at the rear.
The company also chose the Belgian show to launch its new Microlino Custom programme, which consists of a new online configurator that allows you to personalise every detail of the vehicle before ordering it.
Discovery for the city
Starting with the most important new car, the Microlino Spider, this is, as mentioned, the roofless version of the small two-seater city car that has been created with a clear objective: to offer an elegant, durable and safe solution for everyday journeys, particularly short, individual journeys in hot locations.
Designed for the European market, but with an eye on the United States, it is a direct response to the growing use of golf carts as personal vehicles in upmarket residential areas of cities across the Atlantic.

To go into more detail about the technical features, compared with other models in the range, such as the Microlino Lite or the Spiaggina, the new Spider has some interesting new features.
For example, the side doors have been removed for easier access, while the open roof can be closed with an optional tarpaulin if required. The touch of class, however, is provided by interior details never before seen on the manufacturer's small cars, such as the wooden inserts on the steering wheel and an innovative paintwork that changes colour depending on the light.

Wim Ouboter, president of Micro Mobility Systems, said:
"The Spider is designed for people who don't need a large vehicle, but still want something practical and beautiful to look at. It's not designed for long-distance transport, but for the 95% of journeys where you travel alone, for example to get to work or run an errand."
Now you can customise
The other major Micro innovation presented at the Brussels 2025 show is the Microlino Custom Programme, a configurator that allows customers to create their own tailor-made small car. The idea is simple: to give users the chance to choose every detail, from the exterior to the interior, right down to the battery capacity.
The configurator, which can be consulted on the dedicated website and was developed in collaboration with the Italian studio Whivestudio, is based on Unreal Engine and allows users to see the modifications made to the model in real time.
