Volvo 2025: All the upcoming models
The Volvo range will be enhanced by two new electric models: the EX60 and the ES90, which have already been announced.
2025 is shaping up to be a very important year for Volvo. Between now and 2026, the Swedish manufacturer aims to launch no fewer than 10 new cars, some of them very interesting, positioned in key market segments.
These include the electric successor to the XC60 (to be called the EX60), as well as the first battery-powered flagship, the ES90. In addition, Volvo is said to be working on a new plug-in hybrid crossover with a very long electric range, but there is very little information on this model.
Volvo EX60
Volvo XC60
The EX60 is certainly the most anticipated Volvo of 2025, not only because it will challenge the Tesla Model Y, Audi Q6 e-tron and BMW iX3, but also because it will feature next-generation batteries.
Based on the SPA 3 platform, it will feature a structural battery pack that, according to the company, will deliver greater energy density and structural rigidity. Featuring an 800-volt architecture for fast charging, the EX60 is expected to have a range of 400 miles.
In addition, the EX60 should benefit from Level 3 autonomous driving, made possible by new LiDAR sensors and advanced software developed by NVIDIA.

Volvo ES90 - Teaser
This will be the successor to the S90 and will be built on the SPA 2 platform (the same as the EX90) to compete directly with the BMW i5, Audi A6 e-tron and Mercedes EQE. Little is known about it, but it's logical to assume that to be competitive with these models, it will need batteries of around 80-100 kWh and a range of between 311 and 435 miles.
In any case, we won't have to wait long to find out more, with the new Volvo due to be unveiled in March 2025.
