Zeekr 7X: The 639 PS battery-powered SUV arrives in Europe
It offers space to spare, lots of technology and a Qualcomm processor for all the on-board electronics. Prices in Sweden from around £41,500
The new mid-size SUV from Zeekr for Europe is called the 7X and is an electric crossover designed for families and built on the idea of software-defined vehicles (SDV), i.e. with all the electrical components managed by a single central operating system that can be constantly updated.
Available initially in the Netherlands, Sweden and Norway, it will be delivered to the first customers from summer 2025 and may also arrive in France. Prices start at around €50,000 (approx. £41,500) in Sweden and €52,990 (£44,000) in the Netherlands.
Zeekr 7X, exterior
The exterior design of the new Zeekr 7X was entirely developed at the company's new global design centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. The overall lines are very clean, with a resolutely aerodynamic front featuring a sleek bumper and slim Matrix LED headlights.
This philosophy is also reflected at the rear, where the clean lines have been combined with a single horizontal light running the length of the tailgate.
This being a mid-size SUV, as expected, the dimensions are very much in line with those of the D segment. The overall length is 4,787 mm and the height 1,650 mm. The wheelbase, meanwhile, is that of a true electric car, at 2,900 mm.

Zeekr 7X, the interior
The interior of the new Zeekr 7X is spacious, thanks to the proportions and dimensions just mentioned. According to the company's statement at this early stage, the designers chose high-quality materials for the upholstery and a large number of on-board technologies.
For example, the front seats can be heated, ventilated and equipped with a massage function in the Performance AWD version, and the dashboard features a state-of-the-art infotainment system with a 16-inch ultra-thin HD screen controlled by a Qualcomm 8295 Snapdragon processor - the most powerful ever used by Zeekr and a processor derived from a smartphone - with built-in artificial intelligence for advanced voice commands and an optional 36.2-inch head-up display .
Speaking of load space, finally, the rear boot has a capacity of 539 litres and is combined with a front boot of 66 litres.

Zeekr 7X, the motors
During the first phase of the Zeekr 7X's commercialisation, the car will be available in the first European countries to welcome it in two versions: the Premium rear-wheel drive, with a single 421 PS motor and a range of 298 miles (WLTP), and the Performance all-wheel drive with two motors for a total of 639 PS and acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds.
Later, a Long Range (RWD) version with a single motor and an increased range of up to 382 miles (WLTP) is also set to join the list. Two battery sizes are planned: 75 kWh (LFP) for the Premium model and 100 kWh (NMC) for the Long Range and Performance versions.
As for recharging, the Zeekr 7X uses an advanced 800V electrical architecture, enabling it to support recharging power of up to 480 kW in DC. So, using the current 360 kW columns, the Premium model can go from 10% to 80% charge in just 13 minutes, while the Long Range and Performance models need just 16 minutes. For home AC charging, on the other hand, all models are equipped with an on-board 22 kW AC charger.
