New Laika Kreos L 5009: Camping in a Mercedes
The Tuscan company's new motorhome is based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis and offers a higher level of comfort and driveability
Laika the Italian subsidiary of the German Hymer Group presents a new version of the Kreos L 5009 model built on a Mercedes-Benz chassis. The main features of the new semi-integrated motorhome include a new exterior design optimised to integrate with the new Sprinter front body section.
The Kreos L 5009 has therefore been revamped to make driving more comfortable, seeking to exploit all the features of the new Sprinter, which combines the reliability provided by the German manufacturer's experience with performance and the latest generation of advanced technology.
Style and technology
The new Mercedes-Benz-based Kreos L 5009, as we have said, tends to be a model that combines the elegance and style of the Kreos series with the engineering precision and solidity of the German car manufacturer. It is built on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 417D 170 PS mechanicals with 9G-Tronic automatic transmission and electric parking brake.

The new chassis also offers an optimised structure to accommodate the layout of the Kreos L 5009, keeping the interior space unchanged compared to previous models and increasing the space in the driver's cab. The latter is equipped with additional comforts, including Tempmatic semi-automatic climate control and the MBUX multimedia system. The swivel and adjustable MB Comfort cab seats, leather steering wheel and pleated blinds complete a discreet and elegant environment that retains all the other features of the Fiat Professional-based L 5009 model.

The floor of the vehicle now extends all the way to the cab, ensuring better heat distribution on board. At the foot of the front seats, in fact, a diffusion zone has been created that ensures greater comfort, thanks to a booster with a two-speed fan. The same solution has also been adopted for the front cowl, offering uniform and pleasant air conditioning of the environment.
The interior of the Kreos L 5009 MB
The interior of the Kreos L 5009 MB retains the distinctive character of the Kreos line, combining elegant design with high-quality materials. The living area welcomes travellers into a modern, integrated ambience. Cabin and living area merge, offering a large space where ergonomics, comfort and design meet to create a unique and relaxing atmosphere.
