Sportiness and efficiency are put on an equal footing when it comes to the Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron. The 'tail' version of the big German electric SUV has even more dynamic styling and a slightly higher range than the variant with a conventional body.

But does the special roof shape change the roominess? Let's find out.

The Q6 Sportback e-tron offers a very rich dashboard in terms of technology. Here we find the 'digital stage' on which there are no less than three displays.

In fact, there is the 11.9-inch instrument cluster, the 14.5-inch infotainment monitor and the third 10.9-inch display (optional) dedicated to the passenger, on which driving information or streaming movies can be viewed.

All displays are high resolution OLED technology, with the passenger display becoming 'invisible' to the driver when the car is in motion to avoid distractions.

There is also an augmented reality head-up display, which projects navigation directions and key driving information directly onto the road.

Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron, finish and materials

A lot of attention has been paid to the materials, both in terms of design and quality. In the Audi cabin we find faux leather on the most visible parts, such as the door panels and dashboard, microfibre and fabric mouldings and piano black.

There is no shortage of ambient lighting, which wraps around the entire front area of the cabin and "stretches" into the rear doors.

Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron, roominess and luggage compartment

The more inclined roof compared to the conventional Q6 e-tron takes away a few centimetres in height for the rear passengers, but without sacrificing too much overall roominess. Only the fifth passenger is a little uncomfortable by virtue of the protruding centre tunnel and smaller backrest. There is, however, room for the knees, also thanks to the generous 2.89 metre wheelbase.

The luggage compartment offers a minimum capacity of 511 litres (and a maximum of 1,373 litres), plus 64 litres for the frunk.
