Toyota Corolla pricing and spec details revealed
The world's best-selling car is returning to the UK after more than a decade away.
Toyota has announced pricing and trim levels for the new Corolla.
The best selling car in history has faced a few years in the wilderness after it was replaced in the UK by the Auris in 2006, but now it's back, and will go on sale in the new year priced from £21,300.
That will get you the base Icon trim, with a 1.2-lite turbocharged petrol engine. The Touring Sports estate body style as well as the 1.8-litre Hybrid CVT powertrain are also available on the entry-level model.
Drivetrain choices are the same for the higher Icon Tech, Design, and Excel trims, and a 2.0-litre Hybrid CVT option is also available for the Design and Excel trims, making it the first Toyota model in Europe to be available with a choice of two hybrid powertrains.
The icon trim comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, automatic LED headlights, E-Call system, heated front seats with lumbar support, Toyota Touch 2 with eight-inch multimedia touchscreen, reversing camera, DAB, and 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display as standard, with dual-zone air conditioning also available on the hybrid option.
Icon tech adds Toyota Touch with Go satellite navigation and voice control, seven-inch colour TFT multi-information display, parking sensors and Intelligent Park Assist, while the Design trim level comes with 17-inch machined alloy wheels, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, power-adjustable heated door mirrors with automatic folding function, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, rear privacy glass, LED front fog lights, optional opening panoramic roof.
The range-topping Excel model comes with 18-inch alloy wheels (Hatchback), bi-LED headlights, smart entry, sports front seats, and part-leather seat upholstery as standard, with an optional opening panoramic roof, optional bi-tone paint finish (Hatchback), optional eight-speaker JBL premium sound system (2.0-litre Hybrid).
All models in the range are available in eight body colours. Selected Excel Hatchback models can be optioned with a bi-tone finish consisting of a black roof, pillars and door mirror casings and all models are equipped with the enhanced functions of our second-generation Toyota Safety Sense system.
The new Corolla will go on sale in the UK in March.
