The GMC Sierra is the more luxurious sibling to the Chevrolet Silverado. While they share underpinnings, the Sierra is available with unique features like an available carbon fiber cargo bed and a Swiss-Army-knife-like tailgate that can open in a multitude of ways.

Over the decades, the Jeep Grand Cherokee has carved out a niche in the American market as an SUV capable of combining premium amenities on the inside while maintaining a rugged ability to take owners off-road.
17. Jeep Cherokee: 239,437 units
The Jeep Cherokee received a refresh for the 2019 model year that gave the SUV a more traditional looking nose with single-piece headlights. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 270 horsepower (201 kilowatts) and 295 pound-feet (400 Newton-meters) also joined the lineup.

The Jeep Wrangler just keeps on truckin'. A new generation of the venerable SUV is now rolling out of the factory, and the Gladiator pickup variant is on the way to dealers next year. There are undoubtedly vehicles on this list that are more comfortable for daily driving, but there are few that go through the dirt and mud like the Wrangler.

Toyota gave the Highlander an updated face for the 2017 models. With 244,511 deliveries for the year, people must dig the new look.
14. Toyota Tacoma: 245,659 units
Some folks want the ability to haul stuff but don't need the extra size or lower fuel economy of a larger pickup. That's where midsize models like the Toyota Tacoma have their advantage.
10. Chevrolet Equinox: 299,449 units
The latest generation to the Chevrolet Equinox brought sharper styling to the SUV's exterior and a more attractive interior. Buyers are clearly attracted to the more modern look because 299,449 deliveries made the Equinox the tenth bestselling vehicle of the year.
8. Honda Civic: 325,760 units
The Honda Civic is a familiar sight in driveways across the country, and it continues to be a top-ten seller. For the 2019 model year, the company gives the coupe and sedan very minor styling tweaks that largely amounts to different trim. The bigger news is that a driver assistance suite is now standard on all trims, and the tech includes collision mitigation braking, forward collision warning, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
7. Toyota Camry: 343,439 units
The traditional car market is not as strong as in the past. As evidence, the nation's bestselling sedan ranks in seventh place on this list. The latest Camry is a strong entry in the market but doesn't offer the higher ride that really appeals to buyers today. A report even indicates Toyota is trimming Camry production due to the crossover boom.
6. Honda CR-V: 379,021 units
The latest generation of the Honda CR-V went on sale in 2017. The crossover is still holding its own in the popular segment. At 379,021 deliveries, the Honda is less than 50,000 units away from the niche's bestseller (check two slides ahead to see the winner).
5. Nissan Rogue: 412,110 units
Look, it's another crossover. At 412,110 deliveries, the Nissan Rogue is nipping at first place in the segment (see the next slide to see what vehicle beats). Nissan made the 2019 Rogue an even more enticing purchase for families by expanding the standard equipment on most trims to include its Safety Shield 360 driver assistance suite. The tech features high-beam assist, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, automatic rear braking when reversing, blind spot monitoring, and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection.
4. Toyota RAV4: 427,168 units
The crossover onslaught continues with the Toyota RAV4 taking the top spot in the segment to narrowly beat the Rogue.
The RAV4 has a new generation that's still a fresh sight on the road. Being such a recent entry in the segment should keep the crossover's strong sales rolling for quite a while to come.

Chevy's Silverado numbers combine the 1500 model and HD variants like the 2500 and 3500.

Ram's pickups narrowly beat Chevy's this year. Like the other truck brands, Ram's figures combine the popular 1500 and heavy-duty variants like the 2500 and 3500.
1. Ford F-Series: 909,330 units
The Ford F-Series continues its reign as America's best-selling vehicle for the 42nd year. Like other truckmakers, the Blue Oval doesn't split out the heavy-duty versions of its pickups, so this figure combines the F-150 and Super Duty variants like the F-250 and F-350.
