Dacia Bigster 2025: From trendy SUV to camper van for less than €30,000

Considering the price of the car and the fact that the camper accessories are well priced, we are talking about a preparation that is as cheap as it is interesting.

No, for the time being, Dacia has not fully entered the world of recreational vehicles and has not applied its policy of allowing you to buy cheap to the world of campers or motorhomes... Although it is true that there is no shortage of renderings of Dacia motorhome models.

And that's a shame, because in the past we have seen a lot of very interesting motorhome preparations based on a commercial vehicle such as the Dacia Dokker. However, even after its disappearance, the Romanian company continues to offer options to lovers of the outdoors and travelling on wheels, based on models from its current range and a complete catalogue of accessories.

We are talking, for example, about the Jogger and the new Duster, but also about the brand's latest great novelty: the Dacia Bigster. A larger and more capable SUV, which still has a very interesting starting price: from 24,590 euros, in its version Essential TCe 140 hp 4x2, mild hybrid and with Eco label from the DGT.

We are talking, for example, about the Jogger and the new Duster, but also about the brand's latest big news: the Dacia Bigster. A larger and more powerful SUV that still has a very interesting starting price: from €24,590, in its Essential TCe 140 PS 4x2 version with mild hybrid.

From trendy SUV to cheap camper: the Bigster transformation

As with the previous models, the InNature accessories allow the Dacia SUV to be transformed into a model that can travel and sleep on board with a certain degree of comfort.

The first interesting accessory is the Sleep Pack, which costs €2,361 and basically fits all Bigsters, regardless of whether they are mild hybrid, hybrid or bi-fuel (with LPG) petrol.

The Sleep Pack transforms the rear seats and boot into a bedroom in a matter of minutes. In fact, the structure, including mattress and frame, weighs less than 50 kilos and can be quickly installed by two people.

In addition to the 190x130 cm double bed, which folds out quickly, there is a wooden drawer with 220 litres of storage space, which is always accessible. Some of the boot's load capacity is lost, but you can still travel with what you need.

As a complement, Dacia offers opaque blinds for €311, which allow the interior to be plunged into darkness, ensuring a restful sleep as well as privacy for the occupants.

What do you think?

Finally, as a separate option, Dacia also offers a fold-out tent that attaches to the boot lid and provides a large living space next to the rear of the car. The price is €380.

So, if we add the €24,590 (£24,995) that the Bigster starts at, plus €3,052 (approx. £2,540 at the current exchange rate) for all the camper accessories, we can have a car that can be used for day-to-day travel or commuting, and quickly converted into an adventure vehicle, for well under €30,000 (£28,000).
