After the Polestar 2 Arctic Circle in 2022, Polestar has decided to extend its range with a new collection inspired by motorsport and rallying. From 1 February 2025, the Polestar 2, Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 'Arctic Circle' models will be presented to the public at the FAT Ice Race in Zell am See, Austria, an event that tests driving skills on ice.

Michael Lohscheller, CEO of Polestar, explained that 'the Arctic Circle collection expresses Polestar's performance DNA derived from Scandinavian motorsport and design. We develop our cars in the harsh conditions of the Arctic Circle in Sweden,' he added, 'and at the FAT Ice Race we will demonstrate the capabilities of the Polestars on ice. We are delighted to be part of this event that celebrates car culture and performance.

100% Swedish

Performance and rally-inspired design are at the heart of this collection. The work of Joakim Rydholm, Polestar's Head of Driving Dynamics, is central to this process. With over 30 years of motorsport experience and numerous successes in Swedish rallies, Rydholm has contributed to the development of these cars in the extreme conditions of the Arctic Circle. His experience, together with the design team, has led to the creation of cars with a distinctive drive.

"We collaborated with our technology partners to develop engineering solutions that emphasise performance and enhance the driving experience," explained Joakim Rydholm.
