VW’s next-gen Transporter panel van goes on sale in the UK
Yes, you can still buy it with a diesel engine.
The all-new Volkswagen Transporter Panel Van is officially up for grabs in the United Kingdom. Prices begin at £30,995 for the diesel variant, with the battery-powered BEV model costing £41,965, or you can snag one for as little as £399 per month on Business Contract Hire. Deliveries are slated to roll out in April 2025, with more variants hitting the scene throughout the year.
Every purchase includes the Volkswagen 5+ Promise, bundling five services, two MOTs, a five-year warranty, and five years of roadside assistance – all at no extra cost. Whether you're cruising to a job site or broken down on a rainy Monday, they’ve got your back.

The new Transporter comes loaded with options to suit just about anyone who needs to haul people or cargo. At launch, the Panel Van is available with standard or long wheelbases and three trim levels: Commerce, Commerce Plus, and Commerce Pro. For those who need more seats or double-cab configurations, Kombi and Shuttle variants will follow in spring 2025, with double-cab options rounding out the fleet later that year.
Under the bonnet – or the floor, if you’re going electric – there’s no shortage of powertrain choices. You’ve got three diesel engines, two electric setups, and for the indecisive, a plug-in hybrid is scheduled to arrive in 2026. The van’s revamped interior offers more space, better payload capacity, and enough tech to make you wonder if you're driving a commercial vehicle or the latest Golf. Safety is no afterthought either – the Transporter earned a Platinum Euro NCAP rating for its top-notch safety tech.
Volkswagen is also keen to ease the pain of financing. Until 31 March, 2025, customers can take advantage of special offers, including 6.9 per cent APR Representative and a £2,500 deposit contribution on diesel models. Going green? Electric versions are available with 4.9 per cent APR and the same deposit perk. Business buyers can opt for the £399-per-month lease deal on diesel models or go electric for £459 a month.
