Audi Q5 with H&R lowering springs - the Macan sends its regards
Up to 60 mm lowering makes the car an alternative to the discontinued combustion-powered Macan
The Porsche Macan with combustion engine is history. Is there an alternative? The Audi Q5 is based on the same floor assembly, the size is similar and the driving dynamics of the Ingolstadt SUV can be upgraded quite easily with H&R lowering springs now available, which are available in different versions for almost all performance variants.
The H&R lowering springs, which start at €407 (approx. £340), lower the centre of gravity of the Q5 by up to 60 millimetres, depending on the vehicle version. This ensures more direct steering behaviour and reduced body movement when cornering at speed or during sudden load changes. The ride comfort, on the other hand, always remains suitable for long journeys, while the payload remains at the standard level.
With the optionally available "Trak+" wheel spacers priced €105 (£87) are made of highly tensile aluminium. Audi standard wheels and retrofit wheels can be aligned to the wing edges with millimetre precision. For leased vehicles, all H&R suspension upgrades can be removed without a trace if the lessor requires the vehicle to be restored to its as-delivered condition. All H&R components always have the necessary parts certificates and are Made in Germany.
