Suzuki Vitara: Interior and boot space of the Japanese hybrid SUV
Complete and rational, the Vitara's interior focuses on practicality and comfort
Last June, the Suzuki Vitara received a complete update. The restyling mainly concerned the exterior, but the interior also featured substantial changes.
The equipment of the Japanese SUV has been enriched and made more modern while maintaining the brand's philosophy for one of the most rational and complete models in its segment.
Suzuki Vitara, the dashboard
The Vitara's dashboard is no-frills and has rather simple lines. The main new feature of the restyling is the 9-inch central infotainment screen, with the system featuring new graphics and wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android.
In addition, with the relevant Suzuki app, you can keep an eye on the car directly from your smartphone (subscription is free for the first three years after purchasing a Vitara) and get real-time notifications in the event of warning lights and malfunctions.
Confirmed is the analogue instrument cluster with a small screen in the central part showing the main car information.
Next to the gearstick lever (6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic, depending on the version) there is a handle to select the driving modes.
Suzuki Vitara, materials and trim
On the Suzuki we find mostly hard upholstery, although there are some nicely crafted elements, such as the dashboard and door panel plastics.
The leather and fabric seats are comfortable and cosy. Overall, the Vitara is all about solidity and sturdiness.
Suzuki Vitara, roominess and luggage compartment
Despite its small dimensions (4.19 metres in length), the Vitara comfortably accommodates four adults, with the fifth being a little more sacrificed in the middle of the rear bench.
Suzuki Vitara (2024), roominess is excellent considering the size of the car
The minimum boot capacity is 362 litres, rising to 1,119 litres when the seats are folded down. These values refer exclusively to mild hybrid models, since on full hybrids the capacity drops to 289 litres and 1,046 litres respectively due to the electric powertrain components.
