Liberty Walk's Lamborghini Miura is a tough sell for classic car fans
You won't be so happy in Sant'Agata Bolognese, but somehow you can't look away either
We were worried to the point of shock when Liberty Walk announced that its next project would be the conversion of a Lamborghini Miura. The Japanese tuner is not necessarily known for exuberant subtlety and has little respect for legends, as recently demonstrated by a radical makeover for the Ferrari F40. But a Miura is a Miura. Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cars of all time. So how bad is it?
That is certainly in the eye of the beholder, but one thing is certain. Anyone who drives this vehicle should like to make a grand entrance. Liberty Walk has now shown its latest creation in all its splendour for the first time ahead of the Tokyo Auto Salon in January, and the new Miura - officially called the LB-Silhouette Works GT Lamborghini Miura - doesn't skimp on wings, spoilers and air vents. The images you see here are just renderings, but the real product will look no different at the Tokyo show.

As befits a Liberty Walk conversion, the Miura is hard to beat in terms of drama. It is incredibly flat and wide, scraping the ground thanks to the fierce lowering and the spoilers pulled down low. The new body kit also makes a very aggressive impression thanks to the wing extensions. Added to this is the oversized rear wing, which sprouts from just above the rear diffuser.
The LB-Miura is mounted on new accessory rims. On top of this, the 60s Lambo has been given a black and white paint job (or vinyl wrap) complete with Liberty Walk logos. Further information on the spectacular transformation is scarce. For example, the tuner does not mention any changes to the Miura's 4.0-litre V12. However, these were not really to be expected, as Liberty Walk generally focusses on the exterior. Ex works, the car achieved between 350 and 385 PS, depending on the version.
Miura owners who have enough screws loose to do something like this to their million-dollar sports car icon can order the wide-body kit directly from Liberty Walk from next year. Prices have not yet been announced. The car can be admired live for the first time from 10 January 2025 at the Tokyo Auto Salon. In addition to the controversial Lamborghini, the company will also be exhibiting a second vehicle.
