Ford Puma: Interior in detail
The new generation Ford Puma changes a lot in the interior, with a 12-inch central monitor and maintains a generous boot
Recognising the new Ford Puma from the previous generation is easy, but those without well-trained eyes might struggle to find the aesthetic differences. In fact, the Blue Oval crossover has kept practically intact the recipe for success, focusing more on engines (it is now also electric) and interiors.
Inside, the Ford Puma 2024 has changed a great deal, pushing technology that brings with it new digital instrumentation and infotainment monitors. Leaving unchanged one of the strong points of the previous version: the boot, whose capacity is at the top of its category.
Ford Puma 2024, the dashboard
But let's start with the dashboard, dominated by two new screens. Behind the steering wheel - redesigned and now with two spokes - is the new 12.8-inch digital instrumentation, no longer inserted in an eyelid but practically resting on the steering column, which can be customised with different screens showing a wealth of information. In the centre, slightly facing the driver, is the 12-inch touchscreen infotainment monitor, which changes both in shape and layout, now integrated in the dashboard and no longer protruding.
It is from here that all the functions of the Ford Puma 2024 are managed, including the climate control, with the controls still in the lower part. Goodbye, then, to physical buttons and dials. Compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay - also wireless - it has graphics that are not particularly colourful but are still easy to read. Based on Sync 4 software, it is connected and updateable via OTA. There are, of course, various USB sockets, both at the front and for rear passengers.

Ford Puma 2024, materials and finish
The interior of the Ford Puma 2024 is in full Ford style, streamlined and well made, with mostly hard materials except for those covering the top. The overall quality is also good in assembly and layout, with everything you need within easy reach. Including the induction plate located on the central tunnel under the dashboard. The central tunnel features a large gear lever and parking brake lever, elements not present on the electric Puma Gen-E.

Ford Puma 2024, roominess and luggage compartment
With a length of 4.18 metres, you cannot work miracles in terms of occupant space and the Ford Puma is not the exception to the rule. At the back, the centimetres for legs and headroom are scarce, which results with taller passengers touching the roof and front seats, even in the middle. It is therefore better to travel with four people, with the centre rear seat only for 'worst case scenarios' and not for long journeys.
On the other hand, the luggage compartment of the Ford Puma 2024 is truly noteworthy, with 456 litres of minimum capacity that becomes 1,216 by folding down the rear backrests, with a 60:40 layout. The design is sufficiently smooth and the load floor can be adjusted in levels. There are hooks and a 12-volt socket. The real highlight, however, is the MegaBox, an additional 80-litre compartment located under the load floor, so you can transport objects up to 1.15 metres high or use it as a wash tub for animals, for example, using the drain plug to empty it conveniently.
