Fancy tuning the new Dacia Duster?

CP Performance has some ideas up its sleeve ...

Dacia and tuning: these are actually two things that sound quite contradictory. But you can think about it. This is exactly what CP Performance, the tuning division of the German company Carpoint, has now done. It has created a number of designs on the computer of what a visually pimped-up Duster could look like.

Dacia itself also has a number of accessories available for the new Duster. However, these are focussed on outdoor and functionality, as the company sees itself in this area. For example, the "Sleep Pack" installation kit, which makes it possible to spend the night in the Duster. And associated with this are various add-on parts that are intended to be helpful when camping in the great outdoors.

CP Performance, on the other hand, takes a completely different approach. Here, the compact SUV is really pimped up. Striking wheel arch extensions in contrasting colours. A front spoiler. Wide tyres with special rims. And an air scoop on the bonnet to round things off. Nevertheless, there is unlikely to be any more power.

Duster fans will have to make do with the existing range. This means: a 100 PS turbo petrol engine, which can also run on LPG, a turbo petrol engine with 130 PS (and optional all-wheel drive) and a hybrid with 140 PS. There is no longer a diesel for the Duster in Germany.

The adoption of Dacia's most powerful engine to date, which made its debut in the Bigster, could provide a little more power: The Bigster Hybrid 155 completes the Hybrid 140 series from the new Duster and the Jogger. It offers more displacement for the combustion engine (plus 0.2 litres), more power (plus 15 PS), more torque (plus 20 Nm to 170 Nm for the combustion engine alone) and a higher towing capacity.

Tell us what you think!

What do you think? Should there be visual tuning for the Duster? In any case, we are curious to see when CP Performance will present us with a real car.
