Aston Martin and Zagato have had a long history together, with decades worth of rare and collector-grade cars featuring striking Italian design, signature Aston Martin elegance, and of course, exclusivity that makes these machines coveted by collectors.

In the early 2000s, Aston Martin and Zagato came together to transform the Aston Martin DB7 into an Aston Martin/Zagato project, and unfortunately, the resulting coupe was not able to be homologated to be brought to the American market. However, the demand for a rare Zagato-penned Aston Martin beauty spurred Aston Martin and Zagato to create a solution for American clients, and that was the DB AR1 Zagato (American Roadster 1).

With similar styling to the DB7 Zagato Coupe, and the same small production number of 99 examples, the Aston Martin DB AR1 Zagato is a piece of automotive history that is incredibly hard to find for sale.
