The C8 Corvette Has a New Color: Green
Chevy has added two new paint colors to the C8's portfolio for 2026: Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic.
Chevy has added two new color choices to its mid-engine Corvette sports car for 2026: Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver Metallic. In a sea of painfully boring grey, black, and white, we're ecstatic.
Roswell Green Metallic is the second green shade to be offered on the C8. The other is, of course, the pastel-themed Cacti Green introduced alongside the E-Ray for the 2024 model year. Sadly, it was a one-year-only color, having been discontinued for 2025.
Roswell Green is obviously a far more luminescent, shoutier shade. It reminds us of Viper Green, the ultra-bright shade seen on some Porsches and BMWs. We suspect the name is a playful nod to Roswell, New Mexico, where little green aliens have been rumored to be running around nearby Area 51. As much as we miss the darker Lime Rock Green found on the C7-generation Corvette, we're very much into it.
The other color, Blade Silver Metallic, resides on the other end of the excitement spectrum. It's far more subdued, and on the lighter side of silver—almost white, at least judging by the photo shared above by the Corvette Instagram channel.
Adding two new colors to the Corvette's palette comes at a cost, according to Corvette Blogger. Chevy reportedly wants to keep the Corvette's color lineup to 10 shades, meaning it had to discontinue two colors: Rapid Blue Metallic and Sea Wolf Gray.
The brightly colored Rapid Blue has been a staple of the Corvette option list since the car's debut in 2019, so we're sad to see it go, despite its low sales. Sea Wolf Gray was an almost-flat gray, reminiscent of Audi's famous Nardo Gray paint. Introduced for the 2024 model year, it grew to be one of the Corvette's most popular colors. So we're surprised to see it go.
Either way, Corvette buyers still have a wealth of great colors to choose from, including Hysteria Purple, Torch Red, Sebring Orange, and Competition Yellow. Roswell Green is in good company.
