GWM's Tank, Poer, and Haval brands set to enter UK market
The Chinese automaker is inspired by its success in Australia.
Chinese manufacturer Great Wall Motor (better known as GWM) has plans to introduce a fleet of new vehicles to British shores. Already known for its Ora and Haval brands, GWM is now eyeing the UK market with models from its Poer, Wey, and Tank lines.
Leading the charge is the Tank 300, a rugged off-roader that's been making waves Down Under. With a 2.0-litre turbocharged hybrid engine and a price tag of around £22,500, this beast is poised to give the Land Rover Defender a run for its money.

But that's not all. The Haval Jolion Pro Hybrid is set to hit UK later this month, priced from £23,995. This mid-size SUV will be squaring off against the likes of the Dacia Duster and MG ZS Hybrid.
GWM's ambitions don't stop there. The company is also considering bringing its Poer pick-up trucks to the UK, following their successful debut in Australia under the Sahar moniker. The Wey 05 plug-in hybrid premium SUV, designed with European customers in mind, is also on the horizon.
GWM's confidence in the UK market is fuelled by its success in Australia, where it has climbed into the top ten automotive brands. The company believes that the UK's market dynamics are similar, providing a ripe opportunity for expansion.
Just recently, GWM launched its refreshed Ora 03 lineup in the United Kingdom. The electric hatchback's range starts from £24,995 for a 48 kWh battery pack, good for up to 192 miles of range per charge.
