Stellantis Names New Bosses for Jeep and Peugeot

DS Automobiles also has a new leader.

When Carlos Tavares suddenly resigned on December 1 last year, Stellantis named an Interim Executive Committee to lead the automotive conglomerate during the transitional period until a new Chief Executive Officer is named. The Special Committee of the Board of Directors will announce the next CEO in the first half of this year. In the meantime, the corporate shakeup continues, with new bosses at three of the brands.

Bob Broderdorf was appointed head of Jeep in North America last September and is now taking over the whole Jeep brand. Motor1 chatted with him at last month's 2025 Detroit Auto Show, where he said, "The energy is high right now." He is extremely optimistic about what lies ahead: "It's going to be a pretty epic transformation. We are going to invest over three billion dollars in new products. This is a fun brand. We going to go back to having fun, being adventurous. We're going to make cool stuff that people will be proud of." Looking back, Jeep had a slow 2024, with sales falling 9% in the United States to 587,725 units.

Jeep isn't the only automaker part of Stellantis with a new boss. Alain Favey, former CEO of the Europcar Mobility Group car rental company, is now in charge of the Peugeot brand. Luxury spin-off brand DS Automobiles gets a new leader as well, with Xavier Peugeot now calling the shots at the French company that wants to take on Bentley and Rolls-Royce.

Elsewhere, Anne Abboud takes over Stellantis Pro One, the branch responsible for commercial vehicles. Antonio Filosa, the chief operating officer of Stellantis in the Americas region, assumes additional responsibilities as the head of the Quality division. Stellantis is also setting up a new Marketing Office led by Olivier François, while everything related to software is now part of the Product Development and Technology division led by Ned Curic.

Until a new CEO is appointed in the coming months, Stellantis pledges to offer a greater variety of powertrains. Chairman John Elkann says there will be "an even larger choice of great combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles."
