Affinity, a Polish brand, is presenting its new subsidiary brand Freedo RV at CMT 2025 in Stuttgart. The RV 541, RV 599 and RV 636 models are all based on the Fiat Ducato. They have unusual layouts and are inspired by the van life segment.

Freedo RV 541: Compact with clever use of space

At 5.41 metres, the Freedo RV 541 is the shortest camper in the trio, but it still offers sleeping space for up to three people. The transverse bed in the rear measures 1.92 x 1.40 metres, and if you want, you can also add a 1.75 x 0.61 metre extra bed in the front. A special feature is the transversely installed kitchen behind the driver's cab - a rather rare feature in this vehicle class. The kitchen has two gas hobs and a 70-litre refrigerator. Right next to it is a small bathroom with a cassette toilet, shower and folding washbasin.

The seating area in the RV 541 consists of two longitudinal benches with an extendable table, which allows flexible utilisation of the interior space. The 120 PS Fiat Ducato as the base vehicle provides sufficient power, while the total weight of 2.85 tonnes offers a good balance between payload and manoeuvrability.

Freedo RV 599: With access to the driver's cab

The mid-model RV 599 has a particularly innovative floor plan and is 5.99 metres long. That's more space than the RV 541, but it is also utilised in an unconventional way. There is a U-shaped seating area in the rear, which offers space for eating or relaxing. At night, it can be converted into two single beds (1.96 x 0.68 metres and 1.90 x 0.67 metres) or a large double bed.

The kitchen is to the side behind the sliding door and has a two-burner hob and a sink. Opposite is a 70-litre refrigerator with additional work surface. The bathroom with toilet is behind the driver's seat. A sliding door leads from the living area into the driver's cab - a solution that visually and functionally extends the living area.

Tell us what you think!

With a headroom of 1.89 metres, the RV 599 has enough space above your head. The insulated fresh water tank holds 95 litres, the grey water tank 75 litres. This is enough for longer journeys without having to constantly refill or empty the tank. With its 140 PS, the RV 599 is well equipped for both longer journeys and everyday use.

Freedo RV 636: Spacious with a comfort bathroom

At 6.36 metres, the RV 636 is the largest model of the new brand. The additional space has been used primarily for a larger bathroom, which is equipped with a separate shower cubicle, more storage space and a wall cabinet with mirror front.

Like the RV 541, it also has a built-in kitchen in front of the sliding door. The kitchen has a two-burner hob, a pull-out worktop and a sink. There are storage compartments above and below the worktop for cooking utensils and provisions.

The sleeping concept is similar to the shorter RV 541: there is a large transverse bed measuring 1.92 x 1.40 metres in the rear, and a sleeping area measuring 1.75 x 0.62 metres can be added at the front. This configuration makes the RV 636 a good choice for couples who occasionally want to take a guest with them.

The RV 636 is powered by a 140 PS Fiat Ducato engine, which also offers sufficient power for mountainous routes. With a ready-to-drive weight of 2.99 tonnes, there is still a respectable payload for luggage and equipment.

All three Freedo RV models are characterised by an interior design inspired by self-built motorhomes. This approach reflects a current trend in the industry, where manufacturers are trying to combine the flexibility and individuality of DIY conversions with the reliability and safety of factory-built vehicles.

The interiors of all models feature bright colours and modern materials that create a friendly and contemporary atmosphere. Well thought-out storage space solutions and multifunctional furniture elements ensure optimum utilisation of space.

The Truma Combi 4 gas heaters in all three models ensure pleasant temperatures even on cooler days. The 120 Ah on-board battery provides a reliable power supply and the electric step makes it easier to get in. Fly screens on the doors ensure good ventilation and keep insects out at the same time.

The exterior design of the Freedo motorhomes is sleek and modern. Discreet graphics and the option of ordering the vehicle in different colours allow a certain degree of individualisation. Particularly noteworthy is the option of fitting the models with a pop-top roof, which offers additional sleeping space and more headroom in the interior.

With prices starting at around €62,000 (approx. £52,300), the Freedo is an attractive option for price-conscious campers, although the sometimes unusual layouts show that the subsidiary brand of Affinity RV is prepared to break new ground. This could help the newcomer to stand out from competitors such as Sunlight or Forster. The Freedo RV models are interesting for fans of the van lifestyle. The modern design could particularly appeal to younger buyers who value individuality and flexibility.
