Ferrari continues testing two new models expected in 2025

Electric Ferrari and the possible restyling of the 296 GTB spotted in Maranello. Here's what we know

2025 promises to be a historic year for Ferrari. The Prancing Horse is preparing to launch its first electric model and renew its existing range, including restyling and special versions.

Some clues about the Maranello marque's plans are given to us by the many prototypes featured in the new spy video posted on YouTube by Varryx.

The electric Ferrari returns to show itself

Undoubtedly, Ferrari's most important model for 2025 will be electric, which can be seen in the video from around 0:48. Compared to previous sightings there are no major changes, with the crossover completely camouflaged and fitted with fake exhausts.

Very little is known about this model, not even its official name. All we know is that it will be unveiled in late 2025. According to early rumours, it will have performance and handling typical of a Rossa and will be built in the brand's new e-building. In addition, it should have an artificial sound to emulate the sound of the V12.

Varryx 's footage - filmed a stone's throw from Ferrari's Maranello headquarters - showcases plenty of other prototypes, including several Purosangue and a custom SF90 XX complete with a number on the side. Also catching the eye is a fully camouflaged 296 GTB (from 4:17), hinting at a major update to the styling or some change dedicated to an ultra-high performance version.

Finally, another heavily camouflaged Ferrari appears at minute 6:42. It should be the successor to the SF90 Stradale, whose name could be 499 GTB. The powertrain will once again be plug-in, developed around Maranello's usual twin-turbo V8, with total output of more than 1,000 PS, possibly leaving behind the 1,015 PS of rival Lamborghini's Revuelto and even the 1,079 PS of Aston Martin's Valhalla, placing it behind the F80's 1,200 PS.
