Ken Block certainly played a decisive role in making YouTube what it is today. Few people used the platform the way he did. His Gymkhana videos became an absolute cult that you simply had to watch as soon as they were published. Millions of views were inevitable.

Anyone who knows and loves Block's films will certainly remember the Hoonitruck. This is a 1977 Ford F-150 with the drive system from a modern Ford GT. It can be seen in Gymkhana 10 and Climbkhana 2, where Ken Block flies it up China's Tianmen Mountain in epic style on one of the most dangerous roads in the world. Now you can own the car.

Hoonigan and Block built the Hoonitruck together with Detroit Speed. Unveiled at the 2018 SEMA Show, the truck has a tubular frame and handcrafted aluminium body panels that give it the appearance of a 1977 Ford F-150.

What do you think?

It is low and wide, with heavily flared wings, a special intake manifold from Ford Performance and two turbochargers protruding from the bonnet. The drive is provided by a 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 with 914 PS. The racing engine is based on the power unit of the Le Mans-winning Ford GT. It is shifted by a Sadev 6-speed gearbox. There is also a customised all-wheel drive system. The truck has a remote start function and a trailer coupling.

The auction house Barrett-Jackson will auction the truck during its event in Scottsdale, Arizona, which is scheduled from 18 to 26 January. The Hoonitruck was last offered for sale in 2021. At that time, the price was $1.1 million, or around £880,000. This included spare parts such as body panels, lights, a chassis, wheels and more. Ken Block died tragically just over a year ago after an accident with a snowmobile.
