Genesis GV60: First pictures of the facelift
Electric SUV gets full-length monitor and probably also the new 84 kWh battery
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has already been given a facelift, as has the Kia EV6, and now it's the Genesis GV60's turn. The new version will be launched in Korea in the first quarter of 2025, with Europe expected to follow soon.
At 4.52 metres long and 1.58 metres high, the Genesis GV60 is the smallest of the three Korean SUVs - the Ioniq 5 measures 4.66 metres and the EV6 even 4.79 metres. Unlike its sister models, the GV60 only offers the largest battery: 77.4 kWh gross or around 74 kWh net. The drive range starts with the 228 PS rear-wheel drive, which is familiar from Hyundai and Kia. There is also a 318 PS all-wheel drive model (100 PS at the front, 218 PS at the rear) and a 490 PS top model with two 245 PS engines.
A "Magma" model may now be added, which could have similar or even more power than the 650 PS of the Ioniq 5 N and EV6 GT. It would also be plausible for the new sports model to adopt the simulated gear changes. The 77 kWh battery is likely to be replaced by the 84 kWh battery (approx. 80 kWh net), as is the case with Hyundai and Kia. This should increase the maximum range from the previous 321 to over 342 miles. Officially, however, nothing has been revealed about the technical changes.

Visually, the GV60 has been given a new bumper, different headlights and modified wheels. At the front, there is a more three-dimensionally designed fascia. The large front air intake no longer tapers to a point at the bottom, but ends with a horizontal line, which gives the model a visually fuller stance on the road.
The headlights are equipped with "Micro Lens Array" technology (MLA). According to the pictures, the light signature now consists of more dots, but they are smaller. The wheel arch linings on the sides are no longer black, but in body colour. The revised model is also fitted with new 21-inch wheels in a five-spoke design. And at the rear, the previously grey fascia is now body-coloured:

Inside, the Crystal Sphere, the spherical gear selector, remains. What is new, however, is that the two displays are no longer separated by a bezel. In future it will look as if you have a 27-inch monitor. In addition, the two-spoke steering wheel will be replaced by one with three spokes:

Technical data and prices for Korea are to be announced soon. However, it remains to be seen when the UK version will be launched and how much it will cost. So far, the Genesis GV60 is available from £54,105. For comparison: the EV6 with the same engine is available from £45,575, the corresponding Ioniq 5 from £43,400.
