BYD 2025: All the upcoming models
2025 will be the year of the Sealion 7, but not only. BYD prepares many other models to conquer Europe.
2025 promises to be a big year for BYD. The Chinese manufacturer has promised five new models coming next year, with a major focus on plug-in hybrid, as well as electric models.
This is a major offensive for the brand, which is aiming to put down more and more roots in Europe, with a series of cars designed specifically for the needs of customers on the Old Continent. Some of these models have already been announced, others will be presented at a later date. Here is what we can expect from BYD in 2025.
BYD Sealion 7
At 4.83 metres long, the Sealion 7 was unveiled in recent weeks and we know it is coming to the United Kingdom soon. Based on the e-Platform 3.0 architecture designed exclusively for electric models, the Sealion 7 uses the brand's in-house developed Blade batteries with LFP technology and capacities of 82.5 kWh and 92.3 kWh.
The most powerful version has two electric motors and all-wheel drive, for a total of 313 bhp. Also present is the iTAC (Intelligent Torque Adaption Control) system, which intelligently distributes torque to the four wheels using the power differential.

BYD Seal 06
Based on the Ocean-M prototype, the production version of this BYD concept is expected to be called Seal 06. It is a hatchback rather generous in size, with a length of 4.63 metres and a wheelbase of 2.82 metres. It will be offered as an electric vehicle, but may also come in a plug-in hybrid version.
Very little is also known about it in terms of power and performance. Prices? In China, they should start at around €25,000 (£20,800), but in Europe, we expect a higher entry figure.

BYD Yangwang U8
BYD could also bring its Yangwang luxury brand to Italy and other European countries. Among the first models could be the U8, a large plug-in hybrid SUV, equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and no less than four electric motors, one on each wheel.
In total, the U8 delivers 1,200 bhp and is capable of sprinting from 0 to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds.
