Genesis GV60 on a rescue mission
This electric crossover becomes a mountain rescuer
Imagine this: James Bond stands at the foot of a snow-covered mountain, a martini glass in one hand and an ice axe in the other. Panning shot of his emergency vehicle: a snow-covered, highly polished Genesis GV60 MIV. Cut!
Admittedly, the secret agent may have previously sworn by Aston Martin or BMW, but with this electric concept car from Genesis, even 007 would have combined style, technology and environmental awareness in the Alps. But joking aside - with this futuristic rescue vehicle, Genesis shows that electric mobility can also impress beyond the city limits.

Oh Genesis, somehow this premium brand from the Hyundai Group just doesn't make sense. On the one hand, the Koreans are still teetering on the brink of insignificance in Europe if you look at the registration figures. On the other hand, they are going full throttle worldwide in terms of marketing and PR, as demonstrated by their entry into the World Endurance Championship and the launch of the Magma sports division.
Genesis is now using the stage at the World Economic Forum in Davos to present a spectacular study based on the GV60: the GV60 Mountain Intervention Vehicle (MIV). This electric vehicle, specially developed for alpine rescue operations, is based on the well-known GV60, but has been optimised for extreme mountain conditions. Special studies were also on show in Davos in 2023 and 2024 with the Genesis X Concept and the Genesis X Snow Speedium Concept.
The GV60 MIV is inspired by so-called Small Unit Support Vehicles (SUSV). The vehicle's snow tracks provide safe traction on slippery snowy roads. The Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) system can even be used to power external devices. All accessories have been carefully selected for quality and durability.
Widened carbon wheel arches provide space for the snow tracks, ensure the safety of bystanders and occupants and protect the vehicle from damage. Additional equipment can be stowed on the customised, heavy-duty roof rack or transported using the modular attachment points on the tailgate.
In the interior, Genesis focusses on functionality and comfort. The seats are covered with hard-wearing, water-repellent material and the cockpit offers state-of-the-art communication technology to provide optimum support for emergency services. The GV60 MIV is powered by a powerful electric motor that delivers enough torque to tackle steep climbs and difficult terrain.
With the GV60 MIV, Genesis is breaking new ground and wants to show that electric mobility is not just for the city. Whether this concept vehicle will ever go into series production remains to be seen. Our guess is no.
