BYD Sealion 7 goes on sale in the UK starting at £44,990
It comes in three trim levels.
BYD has unveiled UK pricing for the Sealion 7. Starting at £44,990 for the base RWD model, this sleek, tech-packed ride looks poised to make waves in Britain’s growing EV market. The mid-range Design AWD trim grade kicks off at £49,290, while the range-topping Excellence starts at £57,290.
Measuring a generous 4,830 mm in length with a 2,930 mm wheelbase, the Sealion 7 offers plenty of room for your crew – and their gear. Inside, expect a refined, spacious cabin and an intelligent in-car interface.

The top-spec Excellence trim boasts dual motors generating a jaw-dropping 530 PS of power, rocketing from 0 to 62 mph in a lightning-fast 4.5 seconds. And if speed isn’t enough to hook you, consider its WLTP range of up to 312 miles.
The car’s rapid charging capability is another standout. Plug it into a 230 kW DC fast charger, and you’ll go from 10 per cent to 80 per cent charge in just 24 minutes. That’s barely enough time to order a coffee and argue over Spotify playlists.
At the heart of the Sealion 7 lies BYD’s game-changing Blade Battery. Using cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate (LFP), this battery isn’t just kind to the planet – it’s also highly resistant to extreme temperatures. And thanks to its innovative cell-to-body integration, the Sealion 7 offers more cabin space without sacrificing structural integrity.
Initially, BYD announced that it would begin UK deliveries of the model before the year’s end. It turns out the first customer cars will be handed over during the first quarter of 2025.
