Jaguar prepares a preview for 2 December
Jaguar will be at Miami Art Week, where it could present the design of its future models for the first time.
It's no secret that Jaguar is getting ready to completely renew itself, by breaking away from its current range and embarking on a new adventure. Farewell to the various F-Paces, F-Types, XFs and so on. The future - as for virtually every car brand on the planet - is electric, and with a different positioning from the present. All details will be revealed in the first Jaguar designed to show the company's new direction. Until today, we knew we'd see it by the end of the year.
Apparently, the date has been set for December 2 (December 3 in Europe), the opening day of Miami Art Week, underlining Jaguar's close relationship with the world of design. Here's what we know about the new model, which will be unveiled in a few weeks' time.
The origins of the model
As the company itself has stated on a number of occasions, including through its Managing Director Rawdon Glover, whom we interviewed a few months ago, the first Jaguar of the new era will be a four-door GT, a first for the company, with a completely different style to the current models.

So what can we expect? "In terms of proportions, it's a far cry from what we do today. [...] The styling language we've chosen is exuberant [...] I look at our design, and again, I've seen things you haven't seen. I think it really stands out. I don't see anything like it on the market", Glover told us during the interview.
The Miami concept will be the inspiration not only for the new GT, which is due to go into production in 2025, but also for the entire new Jaguar range, which will follow its overall styling. A totally new family feel, and apparently a far cry from the classic feel that has characterised the models of today and yesterday.
