Roewe 350 gets first Google Android integration
While OnStar is making headlines for an Android app, Roewe has installed the Android operating system on the 350 sedan.
While OnStar is making headlines for an Android app, Roewe has installed the Android operating system on the 350 sedan.
Heavily reskinned, the Roewe version of Android looks similar to HTC's Sense. It features an attractive design, a touchscreen keyboard, and integrated GPS navigation.
More importantly, the 350 offers 3G connectivity by China Unicom. This enables users to get information (weather forecasts, traffic information, stock market prices...etc), make phone calls, and send / receive text messages and email. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like you can access the Android market.
Expected to hit the Chinese market towards the end of the year, the package is priced between $600-900 (€485-725) and comes with 24 months of free 3G service.
