Subaru's latest special edition of their rally car has been unveiled in Tokyo. Details inside.

Subaru has put the Impreza WRX STI Carbon on display at the Tokyo Motor Show.  The automaker made the unusual decision to build the tuner-styled vehicle with a five-speed automatic gearbox.

The car is based on the A-Line special edition.  The difference is that a carbon fibre roof was used in place of the normal panel, which creates a slightly lower center of gravity, and helps reduce the vehicle's weight.  Also different is the car's interior, which is now lined in suede.

Those attending the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show will get the opportunity to see Subaru Impreza WRX STI Carbon five-door hatch in person.  The question is: would you buy an STI with an automatic gearbox?  Let us know in the comments below.
