Honda HR-V Black Edition Adds Style
Small SUV gets the special edition treatment.
The SUV craze continues as many swap their hatchbacks for high riding crossovers. With over 214,000 SUVs sold in the UK last year, how do you make yours stand out? The Honda HR-V Black Edition might be the answer.
From the high street to your neighbour's driveway, they are everywhere and so being distinctive is harder than ever before. Honda’s popular HR-V is the next car in their range to receive a Black Edition. Based upon the well equipped SE grade car, this special edition model gets visual changes such as: running boards along its length, darkened skid plates for a more sinister look, a contrasting grille, black mirror caps, and some smart 18-inch alloy wheels. You can have it in any colour you want, as long as it’s black. The interior receives minor additions such as special edition leather and carpets.
The Honda HR-V Black Edition is available with a choice of two engine and transmission options. A 1.5-litre petrol can be had with either a 6 speed manual or CVT gearbox costing £25,000 and £26,210 respectively. All-wheel drive is available for those who want added security in all weathers. For those cars the automatic is paired with a 1.6 litre diesel and the manual receives a 2.0 litre petrol unit. The price of an all-wheel drive diesel is £34,300 or £31,000 if you prefer the petrol car.
Honda’s latest generation HR-V was introduced to the UK in 2015 and offers class leading interior space. It’s unique Magic Seats, where the bases of the rear bench can be folded like a cinema seat, allow for a versatile space.
The HR-V’s bigger brother, the Honda CR-V, can also be found in Black Edition guise. It has proven so popular that Honda will extend its production to meet demand.
