2019 Audi A1
After eight years, the small car from Ingolstadt finally gets a second generation. For the first time, the Audi A1 (like the VW Polo and the Seat Ibiza) is based on the Modular Transverse platform. It grows in length by six inches (15.2 centimeters), stretching out to 13.2 feet (4.03 meters), with a noticeably larger trunk. The smallest Audi will be available exclusively with a gas engine when it goes on sale.
2020 Audi E-Tron
The all-electric Audi E-Tron made its debut earlier this month in San Francisco. But now the electric SUV will be on display for all to see when doors open to the Paris Motor Show in just a few weeks.
2019 Audi SQ2
Ahead of its in-person debut at the Paris Motor Show, Audi pulled the sheet off its handsome sporty SQ2 crossover. This tiny SUV packs a walloping 296 horsepower (220 kilowatts) courtesy of a four-cylinder turbocharged engine.
2019 Audi Q3
The second-generation Audi Q3 debuted in November 2018, but it has never been shown at a trade show. Audi could celebrate its new SUV's debut in Paris.
At 14.7 feet (4.49 meters), the Q3 is now four inches (10 centimeters) longer, and the trunk also grows significantly to 23.8 and 53.9 cubic feet (previously 16.7 and 49.9 cubic feet). Inside, Virtual Cockpit now comes standard, and under the hood, three gasoline and a diesel engines are offered.
2019 BMW 3 Series
The new Z4 is more of a niche model – the highlight of BMW will be the new 3 Series. Just recently, images from Munich showed a camouflaged prototype (pictured here).
The car should get a sportier suspension and active dampers. In addition, the strongest BMW four-cylinder of all time – the new 3 Series should produce over 252 horsepower (187 kilowatts). Market launch is March 2019.
2019 Citroën C5
There have long been rumors about a new Citroën C5; the old model was discontinued in 2017, but eventually partner brand Peugeot released a new version of the 508. It would be appropriate to a new Citroën C5, all things considered. Since there are no pictures of the third-generation C5, take a look at the beautiful study CXperience for inspiration, which was unveiled in 2016 at the last Paris show.
Citroën C5 Aircross Hybrid Concept
Though it isn't production ready, the Citroen C5 Aircross Hybrid concept is close. It has a total output of 222 horsepower (165 kilowatts) and a pure electric range of 31 miles (49 kilometers). Expect a production run sometime late in 2019 for the 2020 model year.
DS 7 Crossback E-Tense 4x4
DS Automobiles has unveiled a new plug-in hybrid version of its flagship SUV – the DS 7 Crossback. Underhood, the E-Tense will combine a 197-hp 1.6-liter gasoline engine with two 107-hp electric motors and an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Together, these offer 332 pound-feet (450 Newton-meters) of torque and 296 hp – enough for a hot hatch-rivaling 6.5-second sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph).
FCA: Not Represented
A number of major car brands are not represented in Paris this year. That includes almost the entire Fiat Group. So no Alfa booth, no Ferrari booth, no Jeep stand. Maserati was rumored to show a study of the planned for 2020 SUV (pictured here), but we've since received confirmation that the company won't be showing in Paris.
Ford: Not Represented
Ford could have shown the new Ranger Raptor (picture) in Paris – it would be a decent eye-catcher, at least. But instead the brand debuted it at Gamescom, and only virtually. Too bad. Otherwise, the Blue Oval doesn't have enough to justify a debut in Paris. So Ford canceled any showing.
Hyundai i30 Fastback N
Fresh off the five-door i30 N's debut, Hyundai pulled the sheet off its four-door offering. The Hyundai i30 N Fastback packs the same turbocharged 2.0-liter engine producing either 246 or 271 horsepower (183 or 202 kilowatts), depending on how you spec it.
Infiniti Project Black S Concept
Don't lets its aggressive exterior fool you, the Infiniti Project Black S Concept is actually packing an advanced hybrid powertrain underhood, inspired by modern Formula 1 cars. It produces a whopping 500 combined horses (373 kilowatts). Don't expect this concept to go into production, though.
Kia Ceed GT
Upgraded looks and more oomph, the 2019 Kia Ceed GT hatchback will make its world debut at the 2018 Paris Motor Show. Underhood is a new turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 201-horsepower (149-kilowatt).
Mazda: Not Represented
Like Mitsubishi, Nissan, and Subaru, Mazda also skips the show. Is Europe no longer important for Asian brands? For Subaru, that may apply, but Nissan and Mazda move a lot of product in the region. The soon-to-be-launched CX-3 facelift (pictured) therefore won't be seen in Paris, and certainly not the chic CX-4, which probably still exists only in China.
2019 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Sedan
Alongside the five-door A-Class, the A-class sedan will show up at the Mercedes booth in Paris. At 14.9 feet (4.55 meters), it's 13 inches longer than the hatchback version. Market launch for the car (which, by the way, does not replace the CLA) should be the end of 2018.
2019 Mercedes-Benz B-Class
The B-Class is, so to speak, the van version of the A-Class. So it's not surprising that the generational change in the A model follows suit on the B-class. There are no pictures yet, so our photo shows the old (second) generation. The B-Class shouldn't differ much from the A-Class.
2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE
With a new face and a wheelbase extended by 80 millimeters (3.15 inches), the Mercedes-Benz GLE is ready for its Paris debut ahead of an on-sale date of 2019. The new Lux-UV will be built at the Mercedes plant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in the U.S.
Opel: Not Represented
The new Opel models aren't sexy enough – the Corsa GSi doesn't offer much new technology, and the Insignia B (pictured here) will eventually be replaced by an equivalent to the Peugeot 508. But the middle-grader came on the market only in 2017, so you completely renounce an appearance in Paris.
2019 Peugeot 208
According to industry rumors, a new Peugeot 208 will show up in Paris. Others say the car will debut in Geneva. The small car – launched in 2012 – could have similar styling to that of the 508, with a look matching what our rendering shows. The new 208 should be (as the next Opel Corsa, with which it shares its platform) as an electric car.
2019 Peugeot 508 SW
The next-generation 508 was already shown in Geneva, and the station wagon is in Paris. It probably won't attract much attention, because pictures of the 508 SW Peugeot were published quite some time ago.
Our guess is that the station wagon could get a new off-road variant (maybe a 508 RXH?) in Paris. This would be the long-promised plug-in hybrid drive with electrical rear axle fit.
Peugeot E-Legend Concept
The Peugeot E-Legend concept is a stunning homage to the original 504. But here's the only major difference: Under the hood of this concept is a pure electric powertrain good for a range of 311 miles (500 kilometers) and a total output of 456 horsepower (340 kilowatts).
2019 Porsche Macan Facelift
The Porsche Macan arrived in 2014. After four years, Porsche is now showing the facelifted model in Paris. The 15.4-foot (4.70-meter) long compact SUV shows its strongest changes in the rear. There, the two taillights are now connected by an LED light strip.
Up front, there will be standard LED headlights in the future. For the market launch in November, there will only be a 245-horsepower (182-kilowatts) four-cylinder. Pricing will start again at about $64,000.
2019 Seat Tarraco
Skoda has the Kodiaq, VW has Tiguan Allspace, and now SEAT gets a three-row Tarraco. So far, there are only pictures of camouflaged prototypes of the big SUV, but we don't expect much more than a brand-engineered Kodiaq version with up to seven seats.
Skoda Vision RS Concept
Skoda has quite the surprise in tow for the forthcoming Paris Motor Show where it will unveil a new RS-badged concept car to sit alongside the production-ready Kodiaq RS. Details are scarce for the moment, but at least we know the Vision RS is 4356 mm (171.4 inches) long, 1810 mm (71 inches) wide, and 1431 mm (56 inches) tall, with a wheelbase stretching at 2650 mm (104 inches).
2019 Vinfast Sedan 02 And SUV 02
The Vietnamese brand VinFast will show a sedan called "Sedan 02" and an SUV dubbed "SUV 02" in Paris. The chic design of both vehicles comes from Pininfarina. Hopefully they will both get new names when they reach production...
Volkswagen: Not Represented
While Audi is traveling to Paris with a whole series of cars, the Volkswagen brand won't be represented at all. Just a few years ago, that would have been completely unthinkable – Wolfsburg would certainly have something to show. The T-Cross (rendered here) – the equivalent of the Seat Arona – won't be shown in Paris: Instead, the small SUV will be presented in the fall.
