The current-generation BMW M5, known for its 717-horsepower hybrid powertrain, has been on the market for a few years. This supercar, cleverly disguised as a sedan or wagon, is set to undergo a significant facelift for the 2027 model year. Unlike typical facelifts, this update will bring substantial changes to the vehicle’s design.
Recent spy footage from Carspotter Jeroen’s YouTube channel shows the new BMW M5 testing at the Nürburgring. The vehicle will adopt BMW’s latest design direction, which is evident in the new iX3 and i3 models. This new design approach will be prominently featured in the upcoming M5.
At the front, the new BMW M5 will feature a horizontally oriented twin-kidney grille that incorporates lighting elements, reminiscent of the new i3. This design choice marks a departure from traditional BMW styling. Additionally, the rear of the vehicle will showcase two pairs of outboard exhaust tips, further distinguishing it from the current model.
